The Endoskullbase Mumbai is a group of surgeons committed to the understanding, teaching and practice of endoscopic base of skull surgery techniques and technologies. Neurosurgeons, Otorhinolaryngologists (ENT), Head, Neck and Plastic and reconstructive surgeons form this group. Academics began in 2003, when Dr. C. E. Deopujari (Neurosurgen) and Dr. Nishit Shah (ENT Specialist) came together when this was a nascent field in India then, where two different specialists working in coordination, through the nose to reach and treat base of skull lesions was not much heard of. The optimum treatment for many such conditions needs varied multidisciplinary team of Doctors specialists in Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Head and Neck surgery, Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery and Ophthalmology with a rational approach of understandings to resolve a particular case.

To promote the understanding of complex anatomy, pathology and treatment of skull base pathology, be it the anterior, middle or the posterior cranial fossae. Also, to organise diversified didactic lectures, panel discussions, live surgical demonstrations and cadaver dissections to add value to the knowledge base for this young branch.

To create a platform for doctors to understand, learn and evolve in improved treatment strategies for endoscopic skull base surgery and to help patients by creating general awareness in public in understanding the newest advances in this highly specialized and technical area of endoskullbase surgery.
